UMediC Secures Batu Kawan Industrial Site for New Manufacturing Facility

UMediC Group Berhad has secured a 1.2-hectare industrial site in Batu Kawan, Penang, to support the development of a new manufacturing facility and the Group’s long-term expansion plans.

UMediC Group Berhad has secured a 1.2-hectare (approximately 3-acre) industrial site in Batu Kawan, Penang, valued at RM11.4 million, marking an important milestone in the Group’s manufacturing expansion strategy.

The Group has entered into a 60-year lease agreement with the Penang Development Corporation (PDC) for the industrial land, which will be developed into a new manufacturing facility. The expansion is expected to strengthen production capacity, enhance operational efficiency and support UMediC’s long-term growth plans.

The new facility will play a strategic role in supporting increasing demand for UMediC’s healthcare and medical-related products, while further strengthening the Group’s manufacturing capabilities.

Located within one of Penang’s key industrial hubs, Batu Kawan offers strong infrastructure connectivity and a supportive business ecosystem. The location aligns with UMediC’s continued focus on sustainable growth, operational excellence and manufacturing development.
